Q & A

What is the dress code?

Our dresscode is “Ready to celebrate!” We want people to feel most like themselves, ready to have a great time and groove the night away. If you’re stuck for ideas, ask yourself “what would I wear if you were going to meet Prince at Paisley Park?”

What’s the weather like in June in Montréal?

Early June is usually pleasant and comfortable in Montréal, however we do get hot and humid summers as well as heat waves, so we would recommend dressing in a way that will allow you to easily keep cool. The venue does have AC, and there is an outdoor area in the front if you need fresh air. Hot and humid summers can also mean rain storms (who doesn’t love a good storm?) so keep an eye on that weather app too.

Is there a registry?

We do not have a gift registry for our wedding. Your presence is the true gift. If you would like to leave us a card with a note, we will have a box to collect them at the venue. If you would like to contribute to our honeymoon adventure, that would be extremely generous and kind, but is not necessary.

What’s the parking situation?

The venue is located in a busy inner-city area so parking can be tricky. It is also very likely that the street will be closed to vehicles, which is common during the summer months in Montréal. The venue is a short walk from both Sherbrooke and Berri-UQAM metro stations, so we recommend taking public transit if possible. There are also a lot of accommodation options near the venue too, so getting there on foot is very possible too. Montréal also has a lot of uber drivers, if you would prefer.

What’s on offer at the venue?

The venue is split into two rooms, the bar side and the stage side, so there will be plenty of space to hang out at whichever speed you feel most comfortable. Turbo Haüs has an amazing selection of great cocktails, beers and wines on offer to keep you refreshed. There is also a small outdoor area if you’d like a break and to get some air. Did we mention the giant disco ball?

What’s the food situation?

We will be serving a buffet style meal, provided by the amazing Big Trouble café. There will be vegan and vegetarian options available for our plant-based friends. Our venue is located in a busy area, so there are a lot of options for food, drinks, coffees and other supplies, in case you are in need of something throughout the day.

Can I bring children?

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate children at our wedding. As much as we would absolutely love to include them at our celebration, the venue is not appropriate for kids, and there is little space for them to play or be cared for comfortably. Transparently, if we were to accommodate all of the children of all of our guests, we would need a significantly bigger venue, far exceeding our budget. We are sorry for this. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to discuss this further with us!

We’re coming from out of town, where should we stay?

Montréal is a big tourist destination and there are many hotel and AirBnB options in a range of different neighbourhoods - there is something for everybody! We’ve included a guide to our recommendations in the “Visiting Montreal” section of our website. Please note that we recommend that you do NOT stay around The Village area, by Beaudry and Berri-UQAM metro stations. These are unpredictable areas that may not offer the safety and security that you will want from your visit.
